When it comes to low-cost housing, architects are hardly ever involved. About 98% of the market is built without architects and the result is usually rows of clones of a building, regardless of whether they are practical for an area or not. Developers alone, without the input of an architect, do not see the big picture needed to make housing part of a safe, vibrant community.
